Welcome!

As a volunteer program of the Georgetown Police Department, Blue Santa has provided toys to needy children annually for more than 17 years. Last year more than 1,846 Georgetown children received toys from Blue Santa. We expect to increase the number of families and children served this December.

Blue Santa assists families in need by providing toys for Christmas to their children.   Pre-school children, children attending grade school, and  middle school students who qualify for free or reduced fee lunch or meet federal poverty guidelines, and live in the Georgetown City Limits qualify for Blue Santa.

Each year, the Georgetown Police Department, its department volunteers, and volunteer individuals and businesses join forces to hold special events or set up donation barrels to collect toys. Toys are sorted into age-appropriate categories and special Christmas boxes are filled for families who apply for assistance.

Distribution day is a big event for Blue Santa families. Children get to meet Blue Santa and participate in fun activities while parents or guardians pick up gift boxes at the distribution center.
